How this guide is funded
Where the money comes from, what the site does not sell, and how the writing is kept independent of the companies it describes.
How the site is paid for
The site is paid for by its publisher. It carries no paid placements from the companies it describes, sells nothing to readers and takes no reader payments.
The site sells nothing. There is no subscription, no paid plan, nothing to put on a computer and no service offered to readers, and no reader is ever asked for a payment. Nothing on the site is sponsored by, or written on behalf of, any company it describes.
Advertising on the site
If advertising appears on any page, it is placed by an advertising network and not by the services described here, and it has no influence on what the entries say. Advertisements are labelled as such by the network that serves them.
How the site is found
Readers reach the site through search engines and through advertisements the publisher places to reach people who are looking for what a printed address means. Those advertisements describe the site as what it is: an independent reference. They never describe it as a service, and no advertisement placed by the publisher claims any connection with the companies named in the entries.
Editorial independence
Every factual statement on the site is drawn from a service’s own published pages, an internet standard, or a consumer-protection authority, and the source is linked at the foot of the page that relies on it. No company named on the site is consulted about what is written, sees it before publication, or can ask for changes. Errors are corrected when they are found, and a correction changes the revision date on the page concerned.
Third-party services on the pages
The services that the site’s pages load from other companies, and the reason each is present, are listed in the privacy notice.
